Getting Climate Ready Webinar Series

On Tuesday, October 29th at 11 a.m. (PDT) the Fraser Basin Council will host the first of a free, three-part webinar series showcasing tools and information available to help BC local governments adapt to our changing climate. This first episode, Plan2Adapt: Online Tools for Assessing How Climate Change will Affect your Community or Region, will be a demonstration of how to use the Plan2Adapt tool, which allows users to generate information in the form of maps, graphs and tables, to better understand how climate change may affect their region and how they can prepare. Tamsin Mills, Climate Change Adaptation Planner for the City of Vancouver, will discuss how the City of Vancouver used the tool to inform their Climate Change Adaptation Strategy. There will be an introduction by PCIC's Trevor Murdock. Space is limited, so register at ReTooling.ca today

The second and third webinars in the series will focus on on-the-ground adaptation solutions and tools available to evaluate and prepare for the risks of sea level rise, respectively. Find out more about the webinars in this series.
