New PCIC Update

PCIC is pleased to announce the release of the latest PCIC Update. The March edition of our newsletter opens with recent research on coupling a water temperature model to the VIC-GL hydrologic model to simulate Fraser River water temperatures. It also covers two recently published papers, the first of which examines the 2017 wildfire season and the second of which is on the analysis of precipitation extremes. The newsletter announces both a new collaboration between the Canadian Centre for Climate Services and PCIC, and the release of the PCIC Climate Explorer tool. It also discusses PCIC's ongoing work with engineers to assist in the incorporation of climate science findings into engineering design. The March staff profile is on Yaqiong Wang. The newsletter also covers the ongoing Pacific Climate Seminar Series, PCIC staff news and recent publications.
